The Goodbye Day by Andrea HalwasIf you live your life right, you never have to say goodbye." After being diagnosed with a terminal illness, William faces a series of experiences that allow him to explore not what his life would have been, but instead, what his death really means, both to his family, and to his understanding of mortality and human kindness. This play explores the power of sacrifice as the characters struggle to find meaning in their lives and ultimately discover if it is possible to escape fate.

_A Clean Slate Christmas at EPCOR CENTRE'S Motel
Dec 7-10 2011!

Hannah can't remember anything that happened before the accident. Her sparring parents, troubled brother, and his deceptive best friend must fill in the blanks – but attempts to refresh her memory rapidly descend into reinvention...why tell the truth if you don’t have to? In Hannah’s naiveté lies a fresh start for those around her; however, in their desperation to reconstruct themselves lies a much deeper urge to destroy each other. Clean Slate is a pitch black comedy about identity, the fluidity of truth, and modern family relations in the face of seeming tragedy.

Clean Slate is an award-winning script by Transit member Valmai Goggin. The show was originally produced in 2005 in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, and most recently made an appearance at Sage Theatre's IGNITE! 2010. Theatre Transit is very excited to produce a brand new version of the script, set at every family's favourite time of year...Christmas. Look out.

"Intelligently written and intriguingly staged...Clean Slate will leave
you thinking long after you leave the theatre."

I AM I – APRIL 20 – 23, 2011

Picture

THEATRE TRANSIT is pleased to present the Western Canadian premiere of I AM I by Mike Czuba as its inaugural production. I AM I is an exploration into the duality of the modern man. Man #1 and Man #2 are locked in a lifelong struggle between wants and needs; the desired and the rational. This battle comes to head with the introduction of Sonya, the latest object of interest/desire and the metaphor for all that came before.

"I AM I provides the audience with an exploration of duality, love, the ridiculous things we think and the unexplainable actions we take, which remain a mystery even to ourselves ... a funny, sad, and at times, devastatingly truthful show."                                                                                                                                                          The Concordian, Montreal.

"Ever sit in a theatre and get so involved in a show that you feel like an integral part of the cast? I AM I is one such show."
